FAQs:
The trip will leave in May - after ASU graduation. If you are not able to participate once we know the dates, you can withdraw your application. Keep in mind, no trip organizer gets final dates until registration closes. We share exact dates as soon as we have them!
If you aren't sure about your summer plans, but you are interested in the trip, we encourage you to register and pay the refundable deposit. There will be plenty of time to withdraw once we announce the dates; however, if you do not register before registration closes, we unfortunately will not be able to get you into the system. Also, if you register for this trip and do not end up going, you will be able to register early for the next trip.
When you register, you are required to pay a deposit to be considered for admission. If you decide you cannot go, you can withdraw and receive your deposit back if you do so before the withdrawal deadline. If you withdraw after this deadline, you will lose the deposit. We will post the deadline as soon as we receive it! It is usually at least a month after registration.
Registration is a bit of a numbers game, because we cannot predict how many students will register; however, we truly work very hard to accommodate everyone who registers. If we have more registrants than spots, a waiting list will be created, and we will do our best to accommodate people from that list.
Definitely! If you have friends/siblings from another school who are interested in registering, please give them the same registration instructions you are using, and please email Debbie – Debbie@hillelasu.org – to let her know about your friend/sibling.
Yes, that is correct! Taglit-Birthright Israel recently changed their eligibility rules and NOW students who went on a peer trip before age 18 are eligible for this trip. If you have any questions about your specific situation, please contact Debbie – Debbie@hillelasu.org
Participants will receive their deposit back upon completion of the trip. Participants are responsible for transportation to and from the domestic departure city – likely Los Angeles - and for the cost of an average of one meal a day on their own. Participants are also asked to bring $60 in tip money for tour providers in Israel. Any shopping or additional spending money is at your discretion.
