There are always new leadership opportunities, from coordinating events with Sun Devils for Israel to holding one of these internships sponsored by different national organizations. This year’s
Israel interns are:
Dana Richman – Grinspoon Intern, AIPAC, Campus Liaison
My name is Dana Richman and I'm a senior at Arizona State University, studying Marketing in the W. P. Carey School of Business with other focuses in Design Studies and Special Events Management.
Originally from Chicago, IL, I transferred to ASU in January 2012, after beginning my education at the University of Cincinnati studying Digital Design. I got involved with ASU's pro-Israel movement
at the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year. Currently, I am serving as the President of Sun Devils for Israel. I also have the opportunity to serve as ASU's liaison to the American Israel Public
Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and a Grinspoon-Morningstar Intern, through the Israel on Campus Coalition. Outside of my pro-Israel involvement, I serve as Design Director for Undergraduate Student
Government and work for the Sun Devil Fitness Complex in a variety of capacities.
Samantha Weinberg – CAMERA Fellow
Samantha Weinberg is a senior majoring in Business Sustainability and is earning a Jewish Studies
Certificate and an International Business Certificate. Samantha is this years CAMERA fellow at ASU
and Vice President of Finance of Sun Devils for Israel. As a CAMERA fellow, she educates students about Middle East issues and the role of the media has on the public’s view of Israel.
CAMERA, the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, is a media monitoring research center dedicated to honest reporting on Israel and the Middle East. CAMERA also offers students a one year campus fellowship, as well as an educational trip to Israel. The CAMERA on Campus website provides students with a plethora of educational resources with regards to Israel.
Her love for Israel was kindled the first time she visited Israel in May 2011 with Hillel on Taglit-Birthright Israel with Hillel. Birthright inspired her to spend last fall studying sustainability at Ben-Gurion University in Beersheba, Israel. If you have any questions about Israel feel free to ask!
